The consignor shall be liable for the advances, tariff charges, packing, storage and all other lawful charges, except that if the consignor stipulates, by signature, in the space provided for that purpose on the face of this bill of lading that the carrier shall not make delivery without requiring payment of such charges and the carrier contrary to such stipulation, shall make delivery without requiring such payment, the consignor (except as hereinafter provided) shall not be liable for such charges: Provided, that, where the carrier has been instructed by the shipper or consignor to deliver said property to a consignee other than the shipper or consignor, such consignee shall not be legally liable for transportation charges in respect of the transportation of said property (beyond those billed against him at the time of delivery for which he is otherwise liable) which may be found to be due after the property has been delivered to him, if the consignee (a) is an agent only and has no beneficial title in saidproperty, and, (b) prior to delivery of said property has notified the delivering carrier in writing of the fact of such agency and absence of beneficial title, and, in the case of a shipment reconsigned or diverted to a point other than that specified in the original bill of lading, has also notified the delivering carrier in writing of the name and address of the beneficial owner of said property; and in such cases the shipper or consignor, or, in the case of a shipment so reconsigned or diverted, the beneficial owner, shall be liable for such additional charges. If the consignee has given to the carrier erroneous information as to who the beneficial owner is, such consignee shall himself be liable for such additional charges. Nothing herein shall limit the right of the carrier to require at the time of shipment, the prepayment of the charges. If, upon inspection, it is ascertained that the articles shipped are not those described in this bill of lading, the advances or tariff charges must be paid upon the articles actually shipped.
Sec. 8
If this bill of lading is issued on the order of the shipper, or his agent, in exchange or in substitution for another bill of lading, the shipper’s signature to the prior bill of lading as to the statement of value or otherwise, or election for common law or bill of lading liability, in or in connection with such prior bill of lading, shall be considered a part of this bill of lading as fully as if the same were written or made in or in connection with this bill of lading.
Sec. 9
Any alteration, addition, or erasure in this bill of lading which shall be made without the special notation hereon of the agent of the carrier issuing this bill of lading shall be without effect, and this bill of lading shall be enforceable according to its original tenor.

U-Relax Moving Co. strongly recommends that you personally move items of significant monetary or personal worth. Further, I could be physically injured by use of property damaged in the move, or through physical impact with furniture, boxes or vehicles.
B. I further understand that transporting home appliances or preparing them for use after transportation is dangerous and could result in injury or damages. In particular, appliances may be installed improperly and result in flooding, electrocution or fire. U-Relax Moving Co. strongly recommends that you hire a professional service provider to install all appliances. I acknowledge that installation of home appliances is my personal responsibility and not U-Relax Moving Co..
C. I, for myself, my heirs, successors, executors and subrogates, hereby knowingly and intentionally waive and release, indemnify and hold harmless U-Relax Moving Co., it’s directors, officers, agents, employees and volunteers from and against any and all claims, actions, causes of action, liabilities, suits, expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) for damages to my property or person resulting from U-Relax Moving Co. negligence during the move or resulting from an improperly installed home appliance.

E. I acknowledge that U-Relax Moving Co. is not responsible for the contents of any box it did not pack.F. U-Relax Moving Co. responsibility only extends to items while under its care and custody and terminates when U-Relax Moving Co. leaves the premises.

C. Inform U-Relax Moving in advance of any access limitations or special time restrictions.
D. Our goal is to complete the move safely, efficiently, and securely.
SEC. 20.1 FINAL WALKTHROUGH, ITEM VERIFICATION, AND MISSING ITEM POLICY
A. Prior to the crew departing the destination location, the Client or an authorized representative must perform a final walkthrough of the residence, garage, storage areas, and surrounding areas of the moving truck to confirm that all items have been delivered and placed as requested.
B. The Client is responsible for verifying that all rooms, closets, cabinets, storage areas, and outdoor spaces have been cleared of items intended for transport.
C. Any concerns regarding missing items, incorrect placement, or potential damage must be brought to the attention of the Crew Leader before the moving crew departs the job site so that the matter may be investigated immediately.
D. Once the crew has departed the job site and the move has been marked complete, U-Relax Moving Co. cannot guarantee verification of missing items that were not identified during the final walkthrough.
E. The Client acknowledges that moving trucks are inspected at the conclusion of each move and that the cargo area and driver cab are cleared before the crew departs.
SEC. 21 UNDERSTANDING VALUATION VS. INSURANCE
A. Valuation is the mover’s legal liability for belongings while in U-Relax Moving’s possession.
Valuation is not insurance. The Client must select a valuation option prior to the move.
B. Option 1: Full (Replacement) Value Protection. If an item is lost, destroyed, or damaged,
U-Relax Moving may repair the item, replace it with a similar item at fair market value, or offer a cash settlement based on market value.
Coverage is calculated as $6.00 per pound of the total shipment (minimum $6,000). The Client may declare a higher value. Cost is $1.00 per $100 of declared value.
C. Option 2: Released Value Protection (60¢ per pound). This is the default protection if Full
Value Protection is not selected. Example: a 10 lb. item would have a maximum reimbursement of $6.00 (10 lbs x $0.60) if damaged.
D. Insurance differs from valuation. U-Relax Moving maintains insurance consistent with
Pennsylvania PUC requirements, including cargo, general liability, commercial auto, and workers’ compensation.
Insurance is typically reserved for major or large-scale claims; smaller isolated item claims are resolved using the valuation level selected.
E. The Client understands that reimbursement for loss or damage is governed by the valuation level selected prior to the move.
SEC. 22 PHOTOS & VIDEOS FOR SAFETY AND DOCUMENTATION
A. By submitting a deposit and scheduling services, the Client acknowledges and approves that
U-Relax Moving may take photos and videos during the move for purposes of safety, quality control, training, and insurance documentation.
